Your LS Block is 81mm from the factory.

.020 over is 81.5mm
.040 over is 82mm
.060 over is 82.5mm
.080 over is 83mm

You will be lucky to get much over .040 on stock sleeves. To accomplish 84mm bore you need to have your LS block sleeved with aftermarket sleeves to accomodate the big bore. Use the search button it will help you out a lot in your quest for more block knowledge.

You can't bore a stock LS block to 84mm-you have to have it sleeved first. 84mm = 3.307"--stock bore is 81mm = 3.189.
3.307-3.189 = 0.118". 118 thousandths.
