One of the mainshaft bearings in the transmission, most likely input shaft bearing but it could be any of them. Don't drive on it, because eventually the bearing explodes and destroys your tranny. This could be in a few weeks, or few months, it depends on how bad it is. I'd look into getting it replaced soon. It got louder and louder for me, and so I finally just broke down and did it myself.

i had the same problem. i replaced the throwout bearing and pilot bearing but the noise did not go away
