if you had $350 to spend on the R what wouild you buy?
my car is all stock and is my daily driver. I want to keep it as stock as possible for vaule and reliability. I was thinking about the jdm 23mm rear sway and the jdm upper rear strut tower bar. I am very happy with the car all around and am now closer to driving it to its potential so i thought those mods would help to flatten it out even more in the corners. I have toyo proxies tpt, they are almost new so when they wear out i will go with a nicer, stickier tire then. All comments are appriciated and welcomed! thanks

i agree

I have an authentic ITR rear strut tower bar which I might be induced to part with for the right price.
Frankly, I also have one (or two, once I install the Mugen front) spare ITR front strut tower bars I'd part with as well.

Or if your nowhere near a track, my second choice would be a tunable ecu and one hour on a dyno.

If only you could "get away with" only paying $350 for everything involved with or in a 2-day track event!
Come on, he wants to "buy" something that he can look at or experience after that weekend is over.

Ok, do a one day event.
Drive there the morning of, and drive home the evening after. That'll leave him some money for fuel, breakfast and lunch.
What he'll learn in even one day will be eye opening and addicting as hell.
If he can't do an HPDE then do a bunch of autocrosses.
Remember, I already have a load of crap piling up that I neither have the time to organize or install and enjoy. In fact I could spend my limited free time doing just that or actually get seat time. The past 3 occasions I chose the latter.
The car needs so little to just pack up, take out and enjoy on a track.
It only got more expensive and complicated when I started towing and bringing my wife. Not that that's a bad thing at all. I am blessed that she enjoys hanging in the pits, scootin all over to take pics and drinking the boys under the table
after.

i have had the car for a year and a half and i have four layers of security not that i feel any better about its safety but i have come to the conclusion that if and when it gets stolen i will just find another one. it is my dailey driver so
a track day which is a great idea if i break something then i have no ride. I had other cars but like the R so much thats why i drive it dailey i sold my others so i guess i should have said what to use the $350 for a mod
to enjoy daily. is that better?

That's the best compliment to the ITR, BY FAR!
I drive mine virtually every day, whenever I get out of the appartment.
Frankly, there isn't all that much that really needs improvement until you start to really PUSH it on the track. When that starts, $350 won't be nearly enough.
Short version: use the money for Maintenance, engine mount inserts/shifter bushings, and maybe some fresh brake fluid and updraded front pads.
A thicker rear bar might be nice (or/and an upper rear strut tower bar) if your car "pushes" in longer turns, but frankly if you're starting to play with it like that on the street ... the first step before roadcourses might be to try some autocrosses (much cheaper). Just my Humble opinion Ed
