I wonder if this new Toyo will ever reach the United States. Any legit insider info? migs?

Anywho, I was reading the new Motor Trend (Force Fed Lotus Elise article) and they were mentioned. Estimated price was $800 for 17".

Actually, no....

"ECE Certified Racing Tire
Certified for ECE regulation, Proxes R888 can also be used on public highways."

OT: The more I look at the Elise, the more I want one!

Those look a lot like the ones I've been saving for Expo IV ... and never got to use.

jOO Still haven't mounted and used them?

BTW, where can we find out any more specifics about these Toyo 888's?

They look like perfect Rain/Intermediate tires for me. And looks like they come in 215/50/15 to start as well

I'll be installing them on the SSRs in a little over a week or so.
There's so much tread on them I'm thinking of daily driving them for a while, and/or back and forth to this years expo!

Mine are Dunlop D01Js ... picked them up second hand (new) from Rodney.
I think they may have been special imports from either JDM land or the UK.

Speaking of which, one of these days I'll most likely install that ATS Carbon clutch combo I bought off Wai some time ago! LOL!

I've got about 2-3 weeks to get ready for Expo V, and I keep finding more and more new/old parts sitting around that I'd like to get on the car ... in case I end up in the advanced group or something.

No ****, I have the same problem, I have tons of junk hiding out here and there between my place and my parents house that I've purchased over the years and just never installed.

It's sad really, what's worse is I actually forget all of what I have. I need to organize it all one day if I ever hope to get it all installed.

It is still sitting in the box?
I thought the clutch had already broken into pieces from all the stop light racing that you do.

Hmm, looks like Toyo's finally stepped up and provided a tire that's competitive with the A048, RE55S, D01J

Not only is it still in the (unopened) box, I "still" don't know what it looks like other than the ATS-usa.com website photos.

I was sitting back and thinking just a moment ago that I should install it (or have it installed) with all this other "stuff".

Sorry Jack, I might just have to go to Inline Pro with the Mugen ECU/VAFC thingie, but I'll talk to you in another couple months about what to do with the turbo motor I've still got occupying space in the garage.

Would be nice to give it a check-up and some re-fab/upgrades and either find another chassis for it or turn #151 into an HU car.
