Default p28 ecu?

there is this guy that is selling a p28 for 85 bucks. he says that it is good, should i buy it for my obd0 to obd1 conversion? its a five speed one too.

If he can verify that it's good, then the price is a good one. Almost too good.

It may be good idea to make sure that he will give you a "bill of sale" and also a zerox of his drivers license (to scare off thiefs).

he is selling it on the parts trader and he says its a good ecu that he pulled from his car. i'll ask him to send me a picture.

i just got an email, he says that i can just send him a money order and he will send it to me, he didn't even give me an address. this guy sounds fishy. i told him i want to use pay pal and that i need pictures.

thanks guys i found one locally for 75 out of my friends wrecked car, i know this one is good. it is a manual one too. would an auto one work if i ever were to get a hold of one?

You did good! That other deal just sounded bad.

Although I've never done it, from what I understand, it's possible to convert an automatic P28 to manual. You can find the information on the PGMFI.org web site. Those guys know ALL the ins and outs of ECU's.

I just sold one for 50 bucks. So the price did not seem that great, good but not great
