Default low temp reading??

i have really meant to address this problem sooner but just kept forgetting i guess. I have a 92 accord lx and for about three months now the temp needle has been taking forever to get to temp. when it was colder out it wouldn't even warm up! when it was cold out, at idle the car would be able to warm up but as soon as i started driving the heat blowing out the defrost would turn to cold and the needle would drop. anyone ever experience this? i was thinking maybe the thermostat was stuck open?

thanks

You more than likely have a bad thermostat, I had nearly the same symptoms when I had a 92 and it was because my thermostat was stuck open. Try replacing it and see what happens.
