Vtec solenoid questions?
I purchased a JDM 98 ITR motor for my 99 civic si. I notice that there is no vtec oil pressure switch connector just the solenoid connector. I was wondering why and will it affect the vtec since I'm have my si wiring hardness and the plug is just sitting there. Let me know if anyone has any advise.......

there wsa a post on this in tech not too long ago (Search and youll find it)...i think the outcome was that the jdm solenoid's are different and will not work...you need to replace it with a USDM one...just use the one from ur si

Don't waste money replacing it. If you have a usdm one and feel like swapping them do it.
The simple fix is at the ecu.. run the 2 vtec wires together with a jumper... fixed.
Think about it... if the jdm motor can run without the pressure switch... why wouldn't it work fine if it was in the US
