Default integra worth buying ?

this is a 93 teg with an LS/VTEC . the interior is clean as fawk and comes with an autometer tach . the car sounds clean as fawk and i beleive it has a wings west kit on it . he wants $3000 for it . is an LS/VTEC actually quick in integras or what ? I dont even know if he has it built right because it has the b16 head on it . or maybe a gsr head . but let me know if this is worth it . oh and it is sittin on some white motegi mr7s . let me know if this is worth it . if i buy this i will have 1500 left over to modify . what should i do ?

Ls/VTEC is a good upgrade to do, I see more and more people doing them on t-i. Although I'm not sure if you want to buy one off of someone else, I would talk to him about it maybe even do research on them to find out if he knows what he's doing with it, so you don't run into any problems due to it being installed incorrectly. But the b16 head being on it wouldn't make a difference in the ls/vtec.

Most people put a B16 head on LS/VTEC; it's cheaper and will run exactly the same. It is a BIG "if" whether he did all the installing properly. Make sure there is a lot of low end torque, but also that Vtec will engage properly at high RPMs. If his car his done properly, then it will be a great motor and be just about as reliable as a B18C1. (My Opinion) Take off the kit and restore it to a stock DA. Stock DAs look very clean, especially in white.

It's all up to you, if you like that body kit crap go ahead and buy it as long as it was ALL done correctly. But if you wanted something clean and built to your specs, you could spend that 4500 you have and buy a 3rd generation Integra or a really clean 2nd generation Integra. Ether way it would probably be better to start off right with a nice stock car rather then something that your not sure if its been built right or not.

Personally, I'd never buy a used LS/VTEC engine. Even if it was built right, there's little reliability since the person abused it 100%. Get a stock Integra and modify it as you wish. If you want VTEC, get a GS-R or do the Golden Eagle LS/VTEC conversion yourself! Thats the only way I'd ever do the conversion.

yea i wouldnt buy a "used" ls/vtec, half of owning one is building the ****.

my buddies has one with the entire block built and i WOULDN'T EVER buy it from him, those motors arent that "sound" for a long time, they wear fast.

plus he beats the **** outta it

but then again it's your money......
