does anyone have any firsthand experience with the ctr header..how would you compare it to aftermarket ones that you have tried??as far as power gains??is it quieter than the aftermarket ones? ne help would be appreciated..thanks

 

A CTR header is almost identical to a B16 or GSR except for the fact that the lower portion collector is a 2.5in outlet. Will you see some gains over your current 2in or 2.25in outlet? Yes. Is it worth it, not really. Go with something solid in the first place. The 98 Spec JDM ITR header is much better. They go for about $275 to $350 used and $425 and up new. If your looking for something on a budget, the Megan 4-1 commonly seen on ebay for $170 up is a copy of the JDM DC 4-1 but with better welds and thicker steel. Some premium header chioces would be SMSP, RMF, DTR etc. They go from about the $600+ range. Hope this helps.
