Default Help B18C1..decision making about cams

i currently have GSR with ITR valvetrain(double springs, titanium retainers and 98 ITR cams)...what will be a better upgrade for my cams other than CTR cams? im willing to spend some time on dyno with my P28 ecu...my concern is i dont want to replace my ITR valvetrain and my stock GSR pistons...any feedback is greatly appreciated

with the itr valvetrain, i think you should be fine on the s2s2 cams.

you can upgrade to the s2s1 cams and gain some hp over the ctr/itr cams.

i was thinking about that and in fact my buddy has Toda Spec B..he is selling them to me for a good price...what do u think of that for stock ITR valvetrain...but i think the issue with Toda is, ive heard that Toda gain power if u rev them crazy high...correct me if im wrong...
im not sure if this is another option for me with my stock ITR valvetrain...thanks for feedback..more pls

i'm not sure if itr valvetrain is strong enough for todas or anything stage 2.... it is too much of a risk for me.... personally i wouldnt do it, if your friend is selling them for a good price just try and save an extra 400 for good valvetrain, its better to be safe than have a worthless head
goodluck

actually im more worried when i spend all this money in the valvetrain and the car did not pull a good power..and i will be forced to change the pistons, rings, and rods to get all the moneys worth that i spent on valvetrain and i really dont have any intention on changing my pistons rings and rods...

It won't be that bad. The cams don't NEED higher compression to work, they just make more power with higher compression than with a lower compression.

Most newer cams are designed pretty damn good nowadays, really just get cams and cam gears and hit the dyno.

i think i will just settle down for ctr cams because its cheaper, and proven to gain power...dont get me wrong that others dont get power but CTR i dont need to change any of my valve springs and all that...im pretty sure other cams can easily outrun the CTR cams but with changing the valvetrain and all that...again thanks much guys for the feedback

i am currently running BLOX B on my stock compression B18c1...mild built....i think u will do fine cuz i did...but the only thing is i don't think that itr valve train would b enough..im suggesting some STG1 or CTR...and also theres some other good cams out there like BC3+ like the rocket ones..
