Default smoking brake rotors

i just installed new brake rotors on the car

When i drove around for 10mintutes then stopped the car, the new rotors were smoking up

does anyone know what it could be?

Did you bleed the brakes while you were in there?

sounds like they could be sticking..

Did you spray the rotors down with brake cleaner after you installed them? Probably just grease from your grubby hands burning up

haha.. yes its normal if you replace the pads then go hauling *** around and stomping on the brakes.... its happened to me before... wait a little while before you go hard on them because the pads can get soft.

Factory recomended steps on bedding in brake pads would be to take the car to speed and stop from 60-0. Then start from 50-0 working down to 10. This is because you need to burn the coatings off on the pads so that they can be used efficiently.

i bet you're right....

also, when i got new rotors on my old truck, the exact thing happened, it quit after about 75 miles
