DOHC ZC Head - Cant take bolt that hold PS to the head out.
I was in the progress of pulling the head of my DOHC ZC when i ran in to the problem of the bolt that holds the power steering that goes in to the head.
I have no way to get there, a regular wrench fits but doesnt have space to move, and the wratchet is to long to be able to put it, what ever i do there is one of the Stud from the engine mount that is in the way. Does anyone know a way around this?
Left motor mount the bolt holding the PS to the head.

i dont really know exactly what you are talking about, but could you come up from underneath it maybe?
a wise mechanic once told me "if something is too difficult to remove, they probably made a tool to make it easier."
not that there is a "special" tool to make this easier, but think about combining tools to make it easier..
im sorry for the vagueness and all, but i dont own a zc so i cant be specifc.. if you have a pic though, i could try to help more. good luck.

My camera was dead until yesterday, got some pics of my problem.
Engine Mount is off, the piece of metal that comes out the block to hold on to the mount is what is causing my problem.

If the motor is still in the car support the bottom of the engine, remove the engine mount from the motor ( 2 - 14mm bolts) then you'll have better access to that bolt that holds the PS.

If it's the bolt behind the timing belt cover you're gonna have to remove the crank pulley then the timing belt cover or you can do like my best friend did and take a dremel to the timing cover, hack it up, remove it and leave it all broken while knocking the tensioner spring out of place lol.

Its not behind the timing belt cover, it goes through it.

Doesnt fit.
I give up trying to work my way around this, im just going to remove the stud that is in the way, i've asked quite a lot at local honda shops and all have told me its the only way to do it, so i might as well do it.

Sorry it has been way too long since I looked at a zc also, but most honda's have a bracket on the head for the top of the PS and a bracket on the bottom of the PS bolted to the block. WHy not just unbolt the pump from the bracket and pull it off with the head?
No chance, i just checked, the bolt goes through the timing belt cover, but dont worry, tomorow i have nothing to do, i'l finish it tomorow, i dont think i can run in to any other trouble.
