RSX vs. GSR....need opinions!
I'm buying a car and I need to know what to choose. My choices are between a GSR or an RSX Type-S. Tell me which to choose and why!! I've posted a similar question in the Integra forum (don't want to get biased opinions).

lol dude. you post in here you'll get a bias opinion, you post in the integra, you'll get a bias opinion. Just test drive both cars for yourself and see what YOU like. stock wise the type S is better than the GSR. After you test drive both cars, ask yourself these questions:
Which is more fun?
Which has more potential?
Am i willing to mod my car?
Which one looks better?

FIRST OFF i own a rsx-s
It depends what your looking for man... If u want to be diffrent and beat some people to the punch with the car like im trying to do, get the RSX. ITs fast, i have an impressive win record. Downfall? No parts, barely anything for it so you will have to wait, you'll just have to stick with exterior mods or tiny poo poo for the inside..
GSR? great car! Nice gear ration, dope tranny (LOVE GSR TRANNY), 7800 redline (ibleive) fun car. VERY FUN. Plus there are lots of mods, thousands! One thing though, your not going to be original and its going to be alot faster to keep up with compition around your area. fixed up RSx vs. Fixed up GSR? see? Your going to be more O.G. with the RSX if u beat people too it. like me! well around my town anyway! k have a good day hope i was of help
both cars get two thumbs up, just depends what style ur looking to go.

Well if you want an answer i own both. Even though there is very little parts for the RSX Currently, it is a better car in every way. And in a few years there will be just as many parts out for the RSX as GSR. I say buy a RSX
well the gsr cant be the same price with 0 miles and what not right.. just make sure its not DoEs AnYoNe KnOw WheRe I CaN GeT SoMe StRObE LiTEZ AnD LiGhT uP WiNdShiElD NoZzLeS??ed up if you think the gsr is better.. but i think gsrs are WAY played out.. i can think f 4 people i know off the tiop of my head with a turbo slapped on their gsr
Drive them both and you decide not to sound like an *** but you'll be drivin the car not us.... Buy a beater wait another year or so when more rsx mods come out and then decide
I think the RSX is a faster car stock for stock, and handles better, but i just don't like the looks of the RSX,it kinda reminds of the new couger. The best thing u could do is cop a TypeR and you'll have the best of both
I'm wondering why you're not considering the Type R as well...
Again, your choice, but right NOW there are much more and cheaper mods available for the GS-R Tegs, but you really need to drive them both and see for yourself.

The most idiotic "suggestions" I've seen here so far are the ones referring to the GS-Rs as "played out."
You mean don't buy a perfectly good car because they're no longer fashionable. If your car is nothing more than a fashion statement to you, you make me sick.
The GS-R is a better performance car. No matter how many parts come out for the Type-S, the GS-R will have more potential. It is lighter and has superior suspension architecture. Six-speed transmissions are a stupid gimmick that add unnecessary weight. Five forward ratios is perfectly sufficient for the driving conditions of the U.S. The RSX is soft. It is a car weakened in design by Honda's desire to make the Integra's replacement roomier and more upscale.
If you're one of those pansies looking to impress people with what you drive I don't care what you get. But if you want a pure, fun to drive car get the GS-R.

I decided between the two and bought a use GSR instead. Save me a bundle and with the $$$$ i saved, I going to buy performance parts for it. I like the RSX-S but the GSR is still too good to be passing up especially with the prices you can get them for.
There is a lot of aftermarket support for the RSX already. You can pretty much do whatever you want with it now. Around the time when I got my car back in August, there was nothing, now there is everything. BTW, I think the RSX looks much better.
Well. This is a truly "up to you" question....
People should buy a car based on their own findings/opinions... Drive them, and figure out what you like...
I bought my GSR the weekend that the RSX was introduced on the market... I personally drove both cars back to back... each had their highlights/downfalls... overall I chose the GSR, and have not regretted it ever since...

RSX= more money, warranty(u don't want to void that)
GS-R= less money so you can spend the difference in the prices of the two cars to mod it
Id holla at a Type-R(you are an instant celebrity if you own one)

GS-R redline is 8100 by the way~
I was at your state also. Debating whether to get a GS-R or RSX-S. I test drove both, and I gotta say the GS-R was a WHOLE lot more fun to drive. The RSX-S had a whole lot more Smoother ride. I presonally don't like the way the RSX looks. Thas why I got the GS-R and got an OEM Kit. I'm planning to get the JDM kit soon. Love the looks of it...
Its up to you. I bought the GS-R cuz it was alot more fun, looked better IMO, and had a BUNCH of parts to choose from. Its true that its a bit played out, but thas Why I want to make my car stand out and get the JDM kit... Stock for stock, the Type-S is a bit faster. But who the hell is gonna keep their cars stock?! So that really doesn't matter. The more mods you have, the faster it'll be. Thas the end of that discussion.
Go drive both. Thas the best advice I have for you. And then look at the appearance. Then look at which route you want to go with. If you want to mod your car alot, I say the GS-R or Type-R. If you want it fairly stock with minor mods, go with the S... Either way, you'll love both cars...
