Hey whats up,

I own an 87 integra ls,
228,xxx miles and counting, on motor tranny etc....

When I start my car up in the morning, or even on a hot day at noon,

The car will rev over and over to warm up,

But the problem is it revs to 3,000+ RPM,

It will do this for 5 min, and then it will begin to idle down

My question is:

How can i fix this, or atleast have it only rev to like 2K etc...
Is it my ecu?
Is this normal?

Do you mean revs up to 3k then back down then back up again?

If this is the case, judging by the milage, I believe there is an idle control valve on your car. May need cleaned or replaced. Or, you could have a vacuum leak.

 

yup, It will rev to 3K and sometimes higher and then back down and then back up, ovr and over for like 5 min,

Yah i got a ICV,
Guess I'll have to check it out,
