Hello guys, some header questions:

a) Is it OK to fit a DC2 header to a B16A? Any problems?

b) Has anyone installed any of the following headers to an EF8/EF9? Do any of these fit?

- Mugen 18100-XG9R-K0S0 (DC2/DB8 96 Spec. R 4-1)
- Mugen 18100-XG9R-K3S0 (DC2/DB8 98 Spec. R 4-1)
- Mugen 18100-XG9R-K2S0 (DC2/DB8 98 Spec. R 4-2-1 Gymkhana Spec)

OR

- Mugen 18100-XGE-K0S0 (EG6/EG9 4-1)
- Mugen 18100-XG9R-K0S0 (EK9 4-1)

Any comments would be much appreciated. I'm thinking of using it for a daily driver.

 

The only problems I see with a header designed for the B18C is that it will hang a little bit lower and it will also not be tuned for a 1593cc motor.

from what i understand the holes will line up, so you will be able to bolt it up. but the b18 block is taller then the b16 block, so there may be some clearance issues if you used a b16 header with a b18 block. if you used a b18 header on a b16 you wont have any problems, it will just hang a little lower.

 

other then the header hanging a bit lower, the cross member must be hacked for all of the mugen 4-1's the mugen 421 clears though...
