What do you need to change before you take your ITR to the track?
Hi guys,
Newbie to track days
Apart from the obvious like racing pads and an extra set of tyres what else will i need to change before I take my teg on the tracks? people have suggested that I fit a Honda Logo oil filter ( because the logo filter is smaller it filter oil more finely apparently? :S)
what else will I need? I might have missed something.
Thanks guys

About the only thing you would really want to change is to make sure you have some fresh brake fluid and maybe some upgraded/performance front pads.
Fresh oil would be nice, but more importantly make sure you check it a couple times during the day and add some (maybe overfill a half litre) until you see if you'll be burning any when on the track for the first couple sessions.
Tires and the rest of the stuff are things to consider in the future depending on how much you enjoy driving on track, how fast you want to go and whether or not you want to get better and go faster as time goes on.

If you haven't changed your clutch fluid in some years, you should go ahead and change that as well. Just replace it with whatever high performance brake fluid you're going to use.

Years? Haha the owners manual says to check it frequently, it goes bad faster than the brake fluid (not including track events
).
Bring an extra set of front rotors, coolant, oil, tools, a jack, stands, duct tape, zip ties, a helmet
...
There was a thread with a very useful link about getting on the track for the first time. Someone else will probably chime in.
