Default how much would you pay for this?

i am going to look at a 91 si tomarrow. i only saw 1 pic of the car, the side of it. It looks like theres nothing wrong with it. It has 108000 miles and does not say much else. The guy wants 2800 or best offer. I kbb it and a 91 si in like new condition goes for 2100 with those miles at most, that includes ac and alloy wheels. How much should i offer, don't want to low ball but i really can't go much over 2400. thanks

look at it first. test it. make sure check engine light works. turn it to ACC without starting it to see if it comes on. then give him an offer. I seen some lemons out there. not worth the extra 500-600 they are asking for.

start of a grand lower, when he says nooooo way, say ok, what then, cause i'm not payin 28 for it, cause its almost 15 yrs old. he'll fire back with 2600 or something. just keep playin the game until you get in you're range. i talked my rex from 19oo to 1450.01. the penny was for spite. he wouldn't take it without the penny. it was fun haggling, and we both left happy. plus, he doesn't really want 2800, thats just a high number to start off with for some bargaining. and if he really won't budge, walk away. there are tons of deals out there, don't buy the first thing you see. this post is just my opinion. hope it helps

yeah thanks alot! I found out that when dealers sell cars the go for more than private sales. also this car is a repo but the guy who owns the lot says he has the title and its in his name. Does that make it worth any less?

no, repo doesn't matter to much. all it is is a bank is having this guy sell it to get the remaining balance owed on the car, anything over that is his.
