Default my EF project possibly for sale, 1991 Civic Si, B17A, 200hp, JDM front, etc...: Utah

*** Update, 5/11/05 ***
Car is officially being parted out now, but will still sell for $4000 as an entire package deal ($6000-7000+ worth of parts):
https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1243036

going on ebay this weekend if not sold.

***

Well, it's come down to needing to decide between which of my 3 cars will go, due to financial reasons. My wife's WRX wagon is too nice for me to want to give up, my Silvia has too much potential and RWD = the c00l, so that leaves me with my project civic.

I may part stuff out, if I can't sell the whole lot for a decent price.

Here goes...

***

Car:

1991 Honda Civic Si Hatchback (VIN provided upon request)
Black (body has been sanded in preparation for paint)
No Rust, No Accidents, No Major body damage (some small dings/dents)
Clean Title
Clean Carfax
171k original miles on the odometer
Car is a rolling chassis, no motor installed

***

Drivertrain:

Complete B17A swap from a 1992 GS-R with less than 110k miles on the clock (the swap has been completely disassembled for a rebuild that I was planning on doing, everything is included, head, block, transmission [with no syncro grinds, the most desirable b-series cable transmission out there], axles, linkage, etc..., the motor was running just fine and not burning any oil whatsoever, it was very strong, it was disassembled completely to put in new pistons to bump the CR):

- (All new parts are still in Honda packaging)
- new OEM Honda main and road bearings (i read the letters and numbers off the crank and block, and ordered accordingly, old bearings were in tip-top shape and there is no damage or scratches to the crank journals whatsover)
- new OEM ITR oil pump
- new OEM ITR water pump
- new OEM b16a timing belt
- new OEM 3-layer headgasket
- ITR intake manifold with sensors and fuel rail (stock b17 manifold & rail included also)
- RC 310cc Injectors, same injector type as stock, will work without a resistor box (stock b17 injectors included)
- complete 1991 Civic Si engine harness
- home-made OBD0-->OBD1 ECU jumper harness made out of 92 GS-R ECU plugs
- virgin P61 ECU (92 GSR), never before chipped or modified
- JDM P30 Pistons, combined with the stock B17 rods = 11.5:1 compression according to C-Speed racing compression calculator (stock b17 pistons, and stock P30 rods also included)
- skunk2 stage 1 cams, more agressive than ITR cams (stock b17 cams included as well)
- hasport billet aluminum B-series mounts for EF chassis
- stock flywheel, clutch, throttle body, exhaust manifold, alternator, starter, complete Civic A/C system, etc...
- big *** box of all necessary bolts and hardware to put the whole swap back together

This motor should be good for 180-200 whp when tuned.

***

Suspension/Brakes/Wheels:
- RS*R Drop Springs for DC2
- 1995 GS-R shocks front and rear
- Jimfab front crossmember and traction rods
- 92 GS-R front and rear disc brakes
- 91 Civic EX master cylinder
- 92 GS-R 14" wheels with stock michelin rubber (less than 50% tread left)
- 96 GS-R 15" wheels with stock michelin rubber (less than 50% tread left)

Interior:
- Optional USDM Audio Console (holy **** that's rare)
- OEM Honda Civic EF floormats in great shape, no holes
- OEM Acura Integra DC2 floormats (grey/black checkered)
- Stock Gauge Cluster with 171k miles on it (also including a DC2 Gauge Cluster)
- 2000 Honda Civic Si CD Player (illuminates amber, with security code)
- JDM Foglight switch with complete harness
- JDM Power Folding Mirror Control Switch
- USDM ITR titanium shift **** (man it sure feels nice)

Body/Exterior:
- JDM EF9 Hood
- JDM EF9 Front Bumper with foglight holes cut out (can also trade for a bumper that is uncut with a friend if desired)
- JDM EF9 front lip spoiler
- JDM EF9 Fenders with JDM moldings, sidemarkers including bulbs and pigtails
- JDM EF9 Headlights with no yellowing at all, including bulbs, sockets and pigtails
- JDM EF9 corner lights with bulbs and harness
- JDM EF9 front bumper lights with bulbs, sockets and pigtails
- 89 USDM Honda Civic Side moldings (fenders, doors, rear 1/4 pieces that match the JDM front bumper, stock 91 moldings included also)
- 89 USDM Honda Civic rear bumper (matches JDM front bumper moldings, stock 91 bumper included also)
- JDM EF9 rear spoiler with LED brake light
- JDM EF9 rear tail lights with "VTEC" centerpiece
- JDM EF9 center radiator support piece with little mesh grill thingy
- JDM EF9 Power Folding Mirrors (one has cracked glass, stock Si mirrors included)

***

Problems:

- Driver side seat bolster is ripped in the customary place.
- Car had a "euro" antena installed in the center rear section of the roof right in front of the rear spoiler, it has been removed and the whole welded shut, but the body work on that area has not been completed, it needs to be grinded down, etc...
- the blue paint is flaking off the springs and some rust is coming through
- car was previously owned by a woman with kids and there are like cookie crumbs or something all over the backseat, and it doesn't look like it was vacuumed for a very long time
- rear cargo cover has holes cut in it for speakers (included)

***

My asking price is $4200 for everything included as-is. Come pick it up from my house on a flat-bed, or i can pack everything up into the car and you can have it picked up by a shipping company at your own expense.

Instead of paying someone for a car with a motor that is supposedly in a certain condition, with certain parts installed internally that you can't ever verify without tearing it down, come and see the parts you'll be getting and the condition they are in and do the build-up yourself so you know it's done right.

I am fairly confident that I can sell all the individual parts and get at as much as I am asking for the lot if not more, but I'd rather save myself the hassle and have someone come pick everything up at once. I am open to reasonable offers, money talks.

For an extra $1000 I can have all of the body work completed, the car prep'd by a friend who is a professional body man, sprayed in the color of your choice (i was going to paint it '04 STi black with gold flake, or EK9 Starlight Black Pearl), with a nice thick clear coat, including professional cut and buff. The same friend has a JDM EF9 rear bumper with lip that he will sell for $250 to include with the deal with or without him painting the car.

I don't have pics, but even if I did they wouldn't be impressive since it is a rolling chassis that has been sanded down, with the JDM front end not installed, and the drivetrain not installed either.

this thing high-books for $2900 and lowbooks for $1600 in stock condition. someone could get a loan on it all the way up to highbook, bring me $1300 in additional cash and have a *SWEET* project to get started on without the need to buy much else (if anything).
