It will, you will just have low compression ~8s.

the only issue would be the oil regulator, don't have enough experience with a z6 blockl to know what you could do for that.

you might be able to, but on the other blocks, it's kinda machined out for it.

That doesnt sound safe, that oil is going to soak into the gasket, it will eventualy spread im sure. putting an A6 head on a z6 bottom to me isnt worth the trouble, sell the A6, and get a z6 head.

There will be too much oil available to the head without the restrictor. You may reduce the pressure and flow to the bottom end.

Peep this this! I can't post pics cuz my Vivitar is in the shop, but I am gonna post my latest swap. I call it Ridgeline Rex CRV 4WD.

It consists of the Honda Ridgeline 3.5L v6 with an auto to manual trans. swap and 4wd in the CRX body on a CRV frame with a 12 inch body lift and 8 inch suspension lift sittin on 52inch mickey thompsans.

It may just be the hottest swap on the market. I know it is gonna be pro-spec.

swap ya later.peace

Or an oil jet from any non-vtec block should work. Many people have done this before its called the no-tec swap. Basically it yields c/r of 8s. Which is perfect for boosting. usually the no-tec crowd get the more respect because of massive boost and not vtec. I give props as well.

EDIT*** http://www.knology.net/~jediklc/D.htm

your cr :8.609440997947613
using a
D16Z6 Block 75mmbore x 90mm stroke
D16A6 Head 38.00 Combustion Chamber Volume[cc per cylinder]
P28-A01[USDMD16Z6] Pistons -10.10 Dome Displacement [cc per piston]
D16Y8/Z6 HG 0.03700000 thickness
With an OEM D16z6/y8 piston to deck hieght.

I would imagine that to be fairly accurate, give a take a a few .XXs'. - Darrell

c/r with z6 head gasket(metal)= 8.609440997947613
c/r with crappy a6 headgasket= 8.43383096360439

ummm.....I dunno about that oil jet you don't want anything to interfer with your seal....I got an extra jet I just pulled out of my a6 block if you want that pm me....you could try replacing the valve stem seals in your leaky head....it isn't much money and you should be able to do it yourself.
