Well, my old Skunkworks end links were frozen and stripped in my OE GSR lca's so I decided to replace them with aluminum lca's since I found some at a very reasonable price. Plus a good friend, Andrie Hartanto, uses them on his race car.
After looking around I found a really good deal on Wicked Tuning EG/DC2 aluminum lca's for $90/shipped from http://www.emotiongarage.com/ Archived in the sponsors section. After emailing them it turns out Matt from Emotions is a member of my old car group (BAAE) in the SF Bay Area so even though the buy was old he still gave me the price.
And although that group buy is old he said that if anyone that contacts him and mentions that Gary (that's me!) from the BAAE list sent him he'd honor the $90/shipped deal for as long as he has them in stock. So if you are interested, email Matt at matt@emotiongarage.com,
Below are some pics of the lca's. The install was simple but you'll have to be creative with the abs lines. I just used some zip ties to keep them in place unless someone has a better idea.
I didn't weigh the aluminum lca's but they are much lighter than the stock lca's and are really solid. These also came with a set of spacers so that the shocks fit perfectly. And with about 60k miles on the oe bushings these new lca's with new rubber bushings are nice and solid, not mushy.
Here are the pics:

I thought about painting them cuz they are "blingy" but I figured with the wear and tear from the streets the paint would just chip off and it would look even worse. So I'm keeping them as is.
Thanks!
Gary

I bought some male and femal rod ends and used those for end links to replace my orig. broken Skunkworks end links.
You can get them from Summit:

Since I bought adjustable rod ends I was able to adjust the end links to accomodate the lower position of the endlink. As for benefits of the location, I don't know chassis dynamics so I don't know. I don't think so.
Maybe the length of the end links might have an effect but I don't know enough about engineering to tell you either way. It was a means to an end and all I had at that time. sorry I can't be of any help on that. Maybe go into the road race section and bring it up to those guys. I still have lots to learn.

Yeah, I thought about painting them black since they do attract attention but decided not to since the paint would probably chip off and make it look worse. hehe! Plus at $90/pr they were within budget!
