hey whats goin on fellas? today i picked up a stock CRX Si, not sure of the year, after totalling my bmw e30 325i 3 weeks ago. anyways when i tried to open the hood the cable snapped...? now i cant get the damn hood to open. any of you guys have any tricks or suggestions on how i can get the hood to open? TIA

Wow, got a rex and not sure of the year? But like 88 said, find the end of the cable and pull it. It routes through the left fender well.

 

yeah i got it to open without checking back for replies. the guy who i got the car from said its a 88 but my mechanic who was with me when i bought it said its an 89 (he only works with hondas). i could care less what year it is because this is just a project car let alone my first honda. im more of a euro fan and have only owned european cars, i just cant get enough of that fine german engineering. since i totalled my project e30 3series this CRX will be its replacement project. my main whip is a blown e46 330
