Seat belt retractor help

I'm still wondering if anyone has repaired their seat belt retractors that don't pull the belt back in anymore, any help is good help

It's an '89 so it's far from any warrentee, i'm doubting they would do it for free

It is better safe than sorry, new ones should be in order. But, if you're like me, cheap, then open it up, it could be as easy as a wound spring. I don't know what you'd replace it with, but....
