Best B Seires Tranny for Turbo!!!!
If making power past the 8k mark S4C (99-00 Civic SI B16). Otherwise get a couple different ones, pull gears that make sense to you to keep the car in the "sweet spot." For something like that I would try to stay with at least 25" clicks. Try to make it hydro if oyu can. Seems to be a little more reliable (at least as reliable as it can be) then the cable. Then try to go with the very least a spool.

S4C
Depends on how high you'll be trapping, etc. but if your working with 26" or taller slicks you can get away with raising the final drive. Last season we had Duc's SFWD EJ6 setup with an S4C, CircuitWorx 4.727 FD, and 26's... That's good for a little over 150mph at 10K rpm.

Yea, completely theoretical... Have you ever tried running an LS trans on a turbo setup before, and then switched to a VTEC trans? Two different worlds. NonVTEC trans and big slicks don't work well together, calculate the gearing...

What more info do you want? Are you sticking with the 24.5's? As Jason and I said the S4C should be perfect and we actually use that trans on just about every SFWD/T4 car we build. I converted Will's (WillieWillieFast) Rex to hydro and he's currently running an S4C with a Tilton clutch and hydro release bearing. If you're not planning on touching 160mph and you're motor is capable of ~9-10K rpm, you'll be absolutely fine. If you want more infomation, specify...
P.S. - I assume this isn't a race car, correct? 24.5's are kind of small 700hp and that.

actually, i have a LS trans with a quaife LSD, and 20x6 M/T's and with the spray its incredible!!
street car though

Maybe with that but we're not talking about 20 inch slicks are we? Just the jump to 24.5 adds over a foot of roll out per revolution. It's not a good combo for high boost, high rpm, big slicks setups, that's all I'm going to say...
Also, if this is indeed a street car, I would stay away from Spools. We ran the CircuitWorx Stage 2 axle/Spool setup in Duc's car a while back and it's a total pain in that *** to drive on the streets. It required reving the motor and spinning the tires just to make a light turn while driving slow. .... so Vince at CircuitWorx machined us some inners which were compatable with both the Quaife LSD and the inboard CV's on the Stage 2 axles. After that things were A LOT nicer!

Yea, I totally understand. Sorry if I'm coming off like an ***, I've been doing that a lot lately and I'm by no means trying to. School's too stressful and H-T is my place to vent, lol! (kidding kidding)

using 24.5 x 8 still losing traction, trying to use 26x9 on ls tranny, but u guys said its not compatible....thank for the info guys, much appreciated. i never use a s4c bfore,i will tryusing it , if i put spool it wont break tranny or lsd. im trying to save $$$.
Unless you're working with the 4.785 FD JDM ITR trans, the S4C is identical to the R.
EDIT: Have to add, I'm talking identical gearing wise. I know the '99-2000 Si doesn't come with a factory LSD!

Just to set a few things straight, I'm not saying that you can't run a setup like that. It's just that the gearing is extremely tall, probably too tall in just about every case, and will hurt you.
Then for the second part, what exactly do you mean by that? Are you asking, "If you were to drop in a Spool, would that prevent your tranny from breaking?" If so, NO, the Spool isn't going to stop anything from breaking. Yea, they're probably a little stronger than say a Quaife or something but there are sooo many downsides to them, it's just not worth it. You should know, at that power level with big slicks, **** starts breaking. In Duc's S4C we ran the CicuitWorx 4.727 ring/pinion, it only destroyed two of them (sheering teeth off, and they're a lot tougher than factory). Split several bellhousings when the ring/pinion held, and that wasn't always due to launching/shifting. Did it once rolling in the power 4th gear on the dyno. 26 inch+ slicks with a decent amount of power don't mix well with factory Honda trannies. Just something we have to deal with...
