Default JDM front for an 88-91 Civic 4DR

I have an 88 Honda Civic 4DR and i'm putting the JDM front on it. Has anyone on here done this before and does anyone have any pics of the final product? It's kind of a rare thing for people to do on these year cars and I was unable to find any pics of some people who have it on here.

I heard it was a bitch to do, but I'd like to find out if anyone on here has actually done it and knows how much of a pain or how less of a pain it is. Thanks.

It is not that hard to do, and there are a couple pictures floating around.

Was it really necessary to quote the pics to ask about some seats? Btw, Nice to see a TurboZC in that 4dr :D And is that you @ Fontana? Were you at an event or actually tracking the car? - Darrell

Ya have to change out the whole radiator support to the JDM one. That's what I hear.

OR

Ya can fab up some brackets and use a JDM hood support. Everything else bolts right up. Its really easy in my opinion.

Hope this helps.

nice work...i never really thought of that. I also noticed you're using the USDM front bumper instead of the JDM one. I am too!!! I personally like it better because it's about an inch shorter...it gives it that "small bumper look". Also, you don't have to deal with that indentation (88-89 style) on the bumper mouldings. I'll try to get my friend to post some pix.

i know that my brother's hatch was easy to do. everything just bolted on... but my bro said that it's best if we just changed out the whole core support so the front would fit perfect. iono man, from the sounds of it, sounds time conusming.

if your complaining about it being time consuming then dont work on cars. it takes time and patience to piece it together. dont rush it and you should be fine

A JDM hatch back bumper does fit...i wouldn't do it with a JDM 4 door conversion, however. The JDM hatch front bumper it very very short...and the JDM 4 door conversion (fenders) are about an inch longer than the USDM fenders. Basically, it'll look like you don't have a bumper.

A friend of mine put a JDM hatch front bumper on his 4-door. Pretty tight in my opinion. Who knows...If I run across another clean sedan...I'll do it. Lovin the wrap-arounds, I guess. Hope this helps. Sedans Rule.
