I'm getting code p0780 "Problem in Shift Control System" for 2001 automatic accord. Does this mean the clutches in the transmission are bad? I need suggestion please as I cannot think where else to start.

i doubt your clutches are bad ...first thing i woud do is remove the lock-up control solenoid/valve shift control solenoid clean out passages sometimes screen get clogged ,,put back together clear code and test drive

 

how many miles are on it?
