4-1 header 1 3/4 port 12" step to 1 7/8 13" if it was NA i would do a 20 degree 2 1/4 collector throat but id might try a 2 3/8. with a 2 3/4 transition and straight pipe...

then again there could be many different setup that might work... this is what i would run personally

Very coo. So about 25" Primaries with the piping sizes you reccommend and a fairly angled collector with the appropiate sized outlet to inlet ratio.

You think shorter primaries would be good since you just want to get the extra hot gases out quikcer.

I am also interested in this discusion. Does anyone make a "nitrous" designed header?
Don't most V8 guys go with huge primary 4 to 1 design?(Gotta get it out fast)

I have seen a lot of guys use short primary 4-2-1 exhaust manifolds on supercharged and N2O cars, however I used a 4-1 long primary design when I ran N2O and didnt notice much of a difference.

Now you're speakin my language. Yes, 99% of the v8 guys (like myself) are running a 4 into 1 header. There are a couple companies that make 4-2-1's and stuff but they are usually small tubes and a gimmick for the most part.

My advicd: Go big. I dont' think the design is going to matter a whole lot either way, but go big on the primaries, big on the collector, and even bigger on the exhaust system (if you are going to run one). Nitrous creates vastly more exhaust volume/energy and it needs to get out (also the reason turbo motors LOVE nitrous). The easier the engine can get the exhaust out, the easier it can get more nitrous in. IMO the small drop in torque is a worthy sacrifice for the power gain while on the bottle.

With nitros the header still does what its supposed to do.Its sounds funny ,But the louder the motor is over its stock sound ,The shorter the primaries need to be: Now can anybody tell me why?

Is it because the louder it is, the more compacted the exhaust waves become and thus creating a restriction if it isnt dumped to atmosphere fast enough?
