Dumb question, but im looking for a carbon vent for a usdm itr, and i found a guy who has one, but doesnt know if it is usdm which will fit, or jdm which wont, is there anyway to tell? thanks

 

I know they make the J's racing vent, only fits the JDM bumper. Might want to check JHPusa or J's.

Yeah...sounds like he's talking about the interior vents.

 

The hazard light button and defrost button are on opposite sides on the JDM one. If I remember right (back 20 minutes ago getting out of my car ) the hazards are on the left (drivers side) on my USDM integra.

 

yeah, i know how to tell on teh climate control, im tlaking about the driver side ac vent, the one by the door

They are sided though, he would need the USDM one.

The left side of a USDM one will extend back towards the front of the car as seen in this picture.

 

Oh snap, you're right. The USDM one has that flat edge that sticks out on the left side of it....

 

you realise there could be the same flat edge on the right side of the usdm one and it just sits up against the dash...the only true way to tell would be to take it out of the car and compare it.....

I've take them out before. It doesn't have that protrusion on the inside side.

I'll take a stab but from the pic it doesn't have the flat left side so I would say it's the JDM one

Definitely the JDM one

 

The USDM version seems to have a more rounded edge on the upper-right corner of the vent and a more pointed edge on the upper-left corner. The pic you have looks like USDM but it's hard to tell since the top part of the vent is cut off in that pic.
