Okay, was originally trying to sell the JDM recaro's i had but might just keep them instead. My question is, are there any other rails besides stock jdm rails that would work with the recaros? I'm thinking of rails similar to the mugen where it's real low to the ground. Any info would be appreciated. thx

 

Vision superlow rails are great. I've had them myself, but sold the Recaros because I felt they were just too damn heavy. That's just me though...

 

exactly...it's just you, not the seats, that add all the weight...

I can get you a set of rails for $275 complete for BOTH sides.

They are 1.5" lower than recaro rails. They are adjustable, have 3 height settings. The highest settign is same as recaro, the lowest is Del Sol seal low. I have them in my EG and *Love* them.

And here you can see the height adjustability. the front side rail is at the lowest setting, and the rear side rail is at the highest setting:



Take 1-1.5 weeks to get them to you once payment is recieved. (Depending on what part of week you order).

chit, you're probably right!

 

I believe the recaros weigh around the same as the stock seats atleast it sure felt that way when I took them out.

 

they're heavier, i believe by ~5 lbs.

by just installing my vision seats, i dropped the weight of the car by a good 60 lbs or so...

 

How much do Vision sliders & brackets run?

Jeff: the setup you posted above, is that double locking or single?

 

single, only one side, but the number of locks is double the Recaro rails to compenaste. For $100 more I can get double locking system.

 

Well if you just need to lose weight just dump the rear seats. I never notice any difference from guys with R's in CF seats compared to mine with JDM recaros. The only person I saw fast on R was because the entire car was stripped and basically your track only car with one seat in it.

 

2 USDM seats = ~80 lbs

2 Vision Corsa seats = ~19 lbs.

60 lbs savings is quite a big difference, imo...
