Default EXPO 5: Northeast Caravan PART II UPDATED

New NE Caravan thread with more finalized information but still likely to be fine tuned.

**For those of you that are coming along with us, PLEASE STATE where/when you intend to meet up with us...at the start or along the way so we know who to wait for at the beginning and who to pick up along the way. Ill keep a running total on this first post of the thread. If you have 2-way radios/Nextel please bring them.

CURRENT PLAN STARTING IN NYC AREA. These plans may be slightly adjusted to try to accomodate as many people as possible, but this is how it stands right now.

-Meet at a diner by 11am Wednesday morning on the NJ side of the GWB at: 2045 Lemoine Ave Fort Lee, NJ 07024-5704 (right off the highway). We would like to leave no later than NOONish
-Hop on I-80 "Wext" through PA
-Meet up with NJ, PA, VA, WV, Canucks, etc etc on I-80 at designated rest areas/food and fuels etc
-Roll into Chicago early Thursday morning - catch some sleep either at rest area or someones house (we will try to work something out for everyone)
-Wake up, gather everyone together, eat somewhere, leave Chicago around 1-2pm
-Finally roll out, arrive at MAM around sometime Thursday night (about 7hr drive from ChiTown).
-go out and see b00bies, get drinks/food, sleep, Opie vs Aquafina and bbqman lol, whatever.
-Friday sleep in, car preparations and inspection, registration, clown around, get some grub, shooting range, dirt bike races, blow stuff up, whatever
-Saturday ITS ON!!

Here is a list of possible meet up spots in PA along I-80 (thanks mythias)
http://www.pahighways.com/exits/I80exits.html

well if we leave at the current designated time, we should be there in plenty of time, have time to rest, and then coordinate with them and roll out.

if j00 f00z leave by 12 noon on wednesday that would put you in chi-town about 2am. this gives j00 plenty of time to rest till we leave around noon on thursday.

Seems reasonable... but I think we'll need sleep Chicago'ish too, it's like 8 hours for Ontario and like 13 hours for Quebec folks.... we don't want an ITR pileup in Illinois...

I think Toledo or Chicago would be the options... Toledo would be nice since we'd be able to roll large all the way into Chi-town as well... I guess it depends on whether you guys are going to make a stop there anyway...

since you thinking of leaving chicago at 11am, factor in about 6-8 hour sleep, that's about arriving at between 3-5 am... backing off 10 hours from 3, means we leave Ontario at 4 or 5 pm... then back out about 6 or 7 hours and we are at about 10 am for Quebec... maybe buffer that with 2 hours of extra delays, 8am Quebec, 3pm Ontario? hmm.

OMG I can't friggin believe it's only like a month away... damn.

I just ran the route through Streets and Trips and just realized that we gain an hour on the way...

Starting with 9AM in Montreal, 3PM in GTA (1 hour stop), 8:45PM in Toledo, 12:30AM (11:30PM CST?) in Chicago...

Depart 11AM in Chicago, arrive Omaha at 5:30.

Actually seems like a nice leisurely drive actually And Microsoft probably didn't factor Type-aaaaR's into the estimates

I would like to be meeting up in Indiana on I-80/90 just over the Indiana border @ I-69.

If this would work out I would like to join. I would just need to know a more acurate time the caravan will be rollin through.

Hell, if need be, everyone can make a pitstop (reload on ice/shower/make use of any tools) there and come to my house. It's off of I-69 there at I-80/90 just a bit. 5-6 miles or so.

Or even meeting up here to sleep if arriving Wednesday night. You are only about 1.25 hours past Toledo. Just let me know guys. The basement is huge.

Edit: Decided that maybe the wrong eyes might be looking at this thread.

Edit2: Proofread and added I just read the entire thread.

Its probably gonna take us about 8hrs to get to the Indiana border. So if we leave on time at NOONish then figure around 8pmish for Indiana.
