Default My EP3 and lowering woes.

Hey guys, i have an '03 ep3 with '04 - '05 stock lip kit. I've been wanting to lower it for performance and cosmetic purposes but my driveway won't allow it. Even now at stock height the underbody rubber scratches so i have to angle it. I don't like parking my car on my block becuase 1. my 'hood isn't so friendly 2. my car has already been broken into since i got it.

I've heard that Tein SSP could adjust the ride height from stock to 2.5 inches with additional computer system - is this true? i've researched and just found that they only adjust the damper. I could be wrong..

So my main questions are... Does anyone else have this problem? and if so what did you guys do to drop your car and still be able to get up those pWn'n driveways.

...i could always put the biatch on bags

Thanks in advance.

Your only real fix is going to be fix the driveway. All drops besides airbags are going to take manual adjustment to raise the car. If you are adjusting the thing up and down all the time your alignment is going to be fubar and the car will suck to drive anyway. Just dont see an easy fix here, maybe a lite drop, Eibach pro kit or Mugen SS coilovers and throw down some wood planks????

Good luck.

The tein only adjusts the damper, you are right on that.

Other than airbags I have never heard of any system that will let you adjust ride height from inside the car.

I've considered writing a letter to the city and asking them to lengthen the curb or make the incline smaller with the excuse of pedestrians tripping all the time. I figure its too much of a hassle so my other idea would be to just build an extension ramp with wood and planks. It could easily be moved when i'm not using it. What do you guys think..

The lexus GX comes with a "rear air suspension" that you can automatically level with a switch from within the car - i believe it has 3 levels.

Anyway, i've started to measure and plan out the portable extended driveway i'm going to make. Keep posted as i'll be making a how-to documentary with pictures from beginning to end.
