Can I get pistons installed without having to take out the engine? I wanted to get the Civic Type R pistons, what do you think?

Yes you can. I put in my JDM ITR pistons with the engine in place. You need to be able to get under the car to take out the header, open the oil pan and unbolt the piston rods from the crankshaft. If you need to rebore the engine or do a good honing job on the cilynder walls it would be best to remove the engine. Mine was low milage so all I did was clean the cilynder wall with a honing tool.

Of course you will need to remove the head also to take out the pistons.
