Default Type R Front Lip

I've messed up my Type R front lip, and read that ASYLUM Motorsports seem to have a Carbon Fiber one listed for USDM models...
This is the first CF one I've seen for US style 'tegs, and under the picture they show it says "Pic shown painted for detail purpose" (on a white car)!?!?
Now I'm a bit leary that it's real CF, 'cause who would paint one of those?... (My caR is black, so I'd want the CF appearance.)

Has anyone here dealt with this company or heard anything good/bad about them?

Is CF more or less durable than the ABS plastic the OEM lip is made of?

tia.

PS. Mods, please don't move this post again - it is Type R specific, as I don't know if anyone has ever heard of a USDM CF lip before. I'm as concerned about the existence of this product, as well as the companys reputation!

I haven't bought anything from them but a post while back showed a lot of unhappy customers.

I don't think you can save much weight from CF lip and it's so easy to break, not much flexibility. I can see you can save a lot of weight for CF hood, but CF lip is a little overdo.

Thanks for the quick replies, guys!... I had thought I'd read bad things about ASYLUM, but I searched and couldn't find any threads here on it.

With that many negative replies (and no positive), I'll be sure NOT to do any business with them!...

PS. If anyone knows of any other source of USDM (OEM) Type R lips, please share the info!
