Default I need more leg room, seat mod??

I just bought a really nice and very clean '97 Accord sedan. I'm over 6' tall and with the seat all the way back, I need about an inch more leg room.

Can the seat be repositioned on the rails? The mounting to the floor is complex (angles, differing heights) and repositioning the brackets on the floor is out.

Does anyone have any ideas of how to get this done? Thanks!

If anyone does know something other than racing seats Post It. I would like to know too. However I can't afford other seats now, I don't know about the other guy.

Please let me know how racing seats would help. It seems like a can of worms in terms of mounting, brackets, altering the seat belt attachment etc.... I've never done it before (duh), but would like to get an idea of how hard it is. Maybe that's the answer, but right now, I don't know.... Can you still adjust the seat forward and backward just in case I have a weak moment and let some one else drive it???

so instead of repositioning the seats brackets on the floor... reposition the brackets where they mount bottom of the seat. I think thats what you are trying to say right?

I have a seat out in the garage now... I guess I should go look for ya.

i think the stock seat rail is pretty much MAXed out, the only think i could think of is racing seat mount(that's with a racing seat of course), which is lower than normal seat.

you could weld up some bracket if you are skilled with a welder and cutter, make a braket that would let you move back couple more inch. not exactly the safest thing in the world tho'

another way you can get some more extra room is to retrofit some CIVIC/integra seat to your accord, they generally runs small and they can be pull a tad more back if i am not mistaken.

I was planning on pulling the seat out this weekend to check out the possibility of moving the seat back on the rails.... If you've got one out already, that's better
