I think this should be the cmi SP class rules.
All of these with the exception of the role bar for cars 11.50 and slower
Street-Performance (S/P): Engine swaps are permitted as well as vehicles using normally aspirated 6-cylinder and 2-Rotor rotary engines. FWD vehicles are permitted to use drag racing slicks. AWD and RWD vehicles are required to use DOT approved tires only.
Rear wheel drive conversions are prohibited in all classes. One-piece front ends are prohibited. Funny-cars, open wheel altereds, roadsters and dragsters are prohibited.
Currently there are no minimum weight requirements in the (S/P) Street Class.
The engine must be from the same manufacturer as the vehicle. Billet engines and cylinder heads are prohibited. Engine swaps are permitted. There are no minimum weight requirements. Deck plates are not allowed. The engine must remain in the original OEM configuration. A transversally mounted engine may not be relocated longitudinally, or “North to South”. Solid or custom fabricated motor mounts are permitted. Frontwheel drive to rear-wheel drive conversion is prohibited.
Mufflers are optional.
Approved leaded or unleaded race gasoline is permitted only. Alternative fuels (ex. methanol, nitromethane) are prohibited. Aftermarket fuel cells are prohibited. Aftermarket fuel injection and fuel injectors are permitted. A maximum of one additional injector per intake runner is allowed. Individual throttle bodies are prohibited.
A engine coolant overflow container is mandatory. Must be mounted securely. The use of wire ties or duct tape to secure the container is prohibited. Overflow container must have a one (1) quart capacity minimum.
Supercharger OR Turbocharger OR NOS is not Permitted.
The vehicles throttle must be controlled and operated by the driver’s foot. Electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic or any other device may not affect the throttle operation.
Vehicles equipped with rotary engines must have flywheel scatter shield made of 1/4-inch thick steel or titanium plate surrounding the entire bell housing. Multiple clutch discs
are permitted.
Front-wheel drive to rear-wheel drive conversions are prohibited. Axle straps are recommended for FWD vehicles utilizing racing slicks.
Limited slip differentials are permitted. Welded “spider-gears” and spools are prohibited. Independent rear suspension systems to solid rear axle conversions are prohibited.
Transmission must be a factory production, manual or automatic transmission. Manual transmission must have standard “H” pattern. Aftermarket planetary (i.e. Lenco) or clutchless transmissions (i.e. G-Force, Liberty, Jerico) are prohibited. All shifting must be performed by the driver manually. Air shifted transmissions are prohibited.
The application and release of the vehicle’s brakes must be a function of the driver. All cars are required to have four-wheel hydraulic brakes. Steel braided brake lines are recommended but are not mandatory.
The vehicles steering must be original and located in the factory location. Aftermarket steering wheels are permitted. The steering system must be free from any defects and be secure.
A full factory O.E.M. suspension system is mandatory. There must be a minimum of one hydraulic shock absorber per wheel. Fabricated units are prohibited. Lightening of stock components and straight front axles are prohibited. Any device that raises or lowers the vehicle while moving down the track is prohibited. Cockpit controlled, adjustable shock valving devices are permitted.
A 5-point roll bar, including hip-bar, is mandatory for vehicles running 11.00-11.99-seconds and convertibles running 11.00-13.99-seconds. A full, 6-point roll cage is mandatory for all vehicles quicker than 10.99 seconds. Painting or powder coating of roll bar or cage is permitted. Roll bar padding meeting SFI Spec 45.1 is required wherever the drivers helmet may come into contact with the roll bar.
Wheelie bars are Prohibited.
Minimum 3-inches from front of car, including the vehicle’s tow hook, to 12-inches behind the centerline of the front axle, 2-inches for remainder of car except the oil pan and the exhaust headers.
Mandatory only if the vehicle is quicker than 9.99-seconds or exceeds 150 MPH. The shroud lines cannot be worn or frayed, canopy cannot be ripped or dirty and pilot chutes cannot be worn or ragged.
The vehicle’s wheel base may not be modified in any way. It must retain the original factory dimensions.
All competitor wheels can be no wider than 10.5-inches for all street classes. If the vehicle is using slicks, aftermarket wheel studs and open-ended wheel lug nuts are mandatory. Wheel stud must extend further than the open ended lug nut. Vehicles using slicks must be equipped with both drive tires being the same manufacturers brand name. All tires must be in good condition with none of the steel belts showing. Inner tubes are permitted with drag racing slicks.
The vehicles original headliner must be retained, or be replaced with a re-upholstered unit resembling the original unit. Vehicles must retain all original interior panels from the rear of the drivers seat forwards. Rear seats and interior may be removed.
Vehicles must retain their original factory dashboard. Aftermarket gauge clusters are permitted.
Vehicles front passenger seat must be retained. Vehicle rear seats may be removed.
Import cars, their U.S Domestic labeled counter-parts, cars manufactured in foreign countries and selected sub-compacts are permitted. Funny-cars, dragsters and kit-cars are prohibited. Complete one-piece body replacements (funny-car style) are prohibited. Must have the factory steel roof, original A-pillars and factory rear quarter panels. Onepiece front ends are prohibited. Fiberglass or carbon fiber body components are limited to the vehicles engine hood only. Please contact Battle of the Imports if there are questions concerning certain vehicles bodies.
Doors must be functional from both the inside and outside. Vehicles must retain factory door panels. Door panels may be reupholstered.
Removal of the front and rear bumper is prohibited. Either stock, fiberglass or carbon fiber duplicates may replace the front and/or the rear bumpers. They are allowed to be molded to the body but must be the original size and shape.
Modification to the vehicle’s firewall is prohibited. Any holes in the firewall must be covered.
Modification to the vehicle’s floor is prohibited.
Hood must be stock shape and size. A fiberglass or carbon fiber hood replacement is permitted. There must be a minimum of four fasteners with either safety pins or Dzus fasteners on the edge of all lift-off hoods.
Aftermarket rear spoilers are permitted. Spoilers can be no longer than 14-inches from the body line, across the spoiler, to the tip. Spoiler can be molded onto the deck lid. Roof mounted spoilers are prohibited. Aftermarket spoilers for both the front and rear are permitted but must fit into the stock locations. No adjustments or movements can be made during a run.
Tail lights may be replacement units but must be located in the factory position and be operational. Side marker lights are optional. One headlight may be removed for installation of an aftermarket intake system.
Any modification to the vehicle’s factory wheel well is prohibited.

All batteries must be securely mounted outside the drivers compartment. If the battery is relocated to the trunk, it must be sealed in a .024inch steel or .032-inch aluminum box or an approved poly box and have a master cutoff switch. A maximum of 1 battery is permitted. A battery cut off switch is mandatory if the battery is relocated. The cutoff switch must be connected in-line to the positive side of the electrical system. Once the master cutoff switch is turned “Off”, it must shut off all electrical systems including the engine. It mustbe located at the rear most part of the vehicle and be clearly labeled with the word “OFF”.
Must have at least one working tail light for night time operation.
Electronic Traction Control Prohibited. Delay Box or Device Prohibited.
Engine rev-limiters, either a 2-step or 3-step, is permitted. Ignition spark amplifiers with built in rev-limiters are permitted. Altering the factory computer (ECU) maps to increase or remove the factory pre-set rev-limit is also permitted. Rev limiters controlled by aftermarket engine management systems are permitted.
Aftermarket stand alone engine management systems (i.e. Mo-Tec, DFI, EFI, Haltech, Tec-II) that replace the functions of the factory ECU is permitted. Piggy back systems (plug-ins module to the factory ECU) are also permitted.
Permitted to record functions of a vehicle only. It may not be used to activate any functions of the vehicle. Fifth wheel (including wheelie bars) sensing devices prohibited.
Tow Vehicles Prohibited. Vehicle must be able to return to the pit area under its own power.
Valid NHRA or IHRA license required if vehicle is quicker than 9.99 seconds.
Driver must be located in stock position. The drivers location cannot be relocated to passenger side.
Vehicle must have working seat belts. If vehicle is quicker than 11.99 seconds, a 5-point, three-inch wide driver restraint system, or safety harness, is mandatory. This must include a crotch strap. The safety harness must meet SFI Spec 16.1. The restraint system must be updated every two-years from date of manufacture.
If vehicle is quicker than 13.99-seconds, a helmet is mandatory. Mandatory for convertibles going faster than 14.99 seconds. The helmet must meet SFI Spec 31.1, 31.2, 41.1, 41.2 or SNELL 90, 95, 2000. The original manufacturer’s certification decal must remain affixed inside the helmet and remain unaltered.
If vehicle is quicker than 11.99-seconds, a fire jacket is required meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/5. If vehicle is quicker than 11.49-seconds, a fire jacket and pants meeting SFI Spec 3.2A/5 and gloves meeting SFI Spec 3.3/1 is mandatory. Shoes meeting SFI Spec 3.3/1 is also recommended.

Rules are good chad. I would settle for a minimum weight though. There needs to be some sort of rules. Otherwise I'm going to race a jet powed celica next race (Jesse James style)
