FS 1998 Ninja 250R - 8100mi - Runs Flawlessly - Red/Maroon - $1200
SOLD!!!!!!!!! thanks for looking!
Hey guys, selling my learner bike. I've had this bike for a year, and put on about 300 miles. Really easy to ride bike, previous owner dropped the bike once so there is a small crack in the fairing that can be fixed easily. You can see from the pictures that the bike is in great condition, the frame is straight, no rust, nothing falling off the bike etc.
This bike has really been a lot of fun to ride, upkeep is rediculously cheap, I am 21 and my insurance is $250 PER YEAR, the bike gets on average around 45MPG (yes, 45), and when driven only on highways, has gotten 55MPG.
I'm selling the bike because I may be moving in the near future, and wouldn't want the bike to sit around unused.
I'm sure I wont need to list out reasons why you would want to buy a bike, as I am sure you've already gone over it in your head. But as a first bike, the ninja has been awefully forgiving and can easily hang with the larger bikes around the twisties. When looking at other bikes, you will definately want to get insurance quotes before even going to see the bike. At the time of purchse, a 2001 CBR would have costed me $1200 a year for insurance (I am a beginner rider, and have an outstanding driving record). Honestly, $250 a year for insurance is unbeatable.
I am firm with the $1200 price as I am in no hurry to sell, and hell, if nobody wants to buy it for $1200, i'll just keep it
If you have any questions, dont hesitate to call me at 646-335-6876 my name is len. haha... thanks a lot guys, i might be reconsidering selling this, i've been getting quite the responce... and i might just hang onto the bike for the summer...
The GS500 i was looking for was sold to someone else, so the whole tradeoff deal wont really work out, and hell, upkeep is cheap, and I love to ride.... and it doesnt really matter what I ride anyways... so I might just stick with it for another summer.... save up for something a little more classy like a V-star... hahaha
btw egpbb6, you should check out http://forums.ninja250.org/ they have a lot of FAQs and other useful information there. When i first got the ninja I was on there 24/7 lol... and also, good lookin prelude hehe
