Default Jdm p30 ecu?

posted first one in the wrong forum(obd1)I am taking my car in to get tuned..but the tuner says in he is not sure if my p30 ecu will be able to be work with the hondata s100..he told me to get a p28 and go from there..does anyone know if this is true or whats the diference..I know no p28 wont detect knock sensor but I kind of want to keep my p30 and getit tuned with the s100 chip and keep my knock...please help..running out of time

You can chip the JDM P30, you just need to add a few parts to the board. It's perfectly doable though, just a little more difficult than the US ecus that have the pins thorugh the board.

As far as running the Hondata with it, I don't see why not, but I don't have any direct experience with it, so I can't say 100%.
