Default What power steering pump for H swap?

What Power steering pump and what bracket are you guys using when you swap an H motor? Also what belt did you have to use to make it work?

I know you have to use the Accord and Prelude lines but will the accord pump work? Here's my set up, any help is appreciated.

on my h22 i'm running without power steering...it's no big deal after you get used to it...however, i've heard you can use a 97+ h22 p/s bracket with the original f22 pump, enabling you to not need to braze or cut into the oem f22 p/s line...other than that, the h22/h23 power steering line must be brazed or somehow fused to the oem f22 line to work with the h22/h23 power steering pump...the h22 belt should work either method...

If you wish to retain power steering, use the prelude's power steering pump and bracket. For the lines, you will need the power steering line from both vehicles. You will need to have a fitting shop splice the Accord's lower half, and Prelude's upper half together. The alternative option is to get a 97 prelude bracket and pump which will bolt directly up and avoid the modificatin step.

I swapped my H motor into a 94 Accord and used a 97 Prelude bracket and the stock Accord pump and everything bolted up with no need to mess with the power steering line. As far as the belt goes I just measured and went to the parts store and got the correct size.

forgive me but can you be a little more specific? I have a 5th gen, is it the 5th gen accord bracket or Prelude? I have the pump I just need to know what PS bracket to use.

i used the original prelude pump that came with my motor (95 jdm h22) and i purchased a usdm prelude line, took my original accord hose and took both to a hydraulic supply shop where i told them i need the prelude pump fitting and the accord rack fitting put together in a hose the same length as the accord one. Thats it

to make it less confusing, in the end my setup is this... 95 h22a pump, 92-96 prelude fitting for the pump, custom line in the middle, original accord fitting to the rack.

Cost:
Pump- Came with motor - $0
92-96 vtec Prelude Line - Junkyard $20
Custom Hose - Hydraulic suply $35
Accord fitting - Used from car $0

Total - $55 (approximately the price of the 97+ prelude bracket)

Amount of times i've answered this question on H-T: Too many.

You are using an F22 driver-side motor mount with the H23? I hope that you dont break the bolts and leave them inside the block. The h-series driver side mount needs 4 bolts while the F22 mount only has 3 bolt holes.

HAccord96 I have been looking to find out what those wheels would look like on my Accord. I don't know why but I really like that look. Even the 3.0 web wheel would look ok. Nice set up.
