Default which exhaust is the best/nicest for a 90 crx si?

i mean theres a lot of stuff out there. but i want to really know who makes the best ****, and also low cost. so what would really work on a 90 rex?

also, are those dc-s "style" headers for like 40 bucks; are those worth it?

or some kind of dual setup?

Buy a good header, you'll be happier down the road. Personally I like exhausts on an EF where the muffler is in the stock location... like a dynomax or something.

I have a SMSP header (new offset 4 into 1) and 2 1/4 exhaust. The exhaust has a large resonator and muffler by Magnaflow. The muffler and resonator are in the stock location. This combo makes power and sounds good too.

If you want cheap and pretty good get a custom exhaust built by a GOOD muffler shop and get a Megan racing header. That's what I just did for my Autox civic and it's great, for just a tad over $200. The Megan racing header is MUCH better than the other Ebay headers.

I used the Megan 4-2-1, stainless 15" resonator and a stainless Magnaflow 18" muffler, 2.5" piping all the way back, I love it

Its hard to find a decent 4-2-1 Header that will work well on the EF that is reasonably priced. I refuse to buy DC

I know some people who have the Tsudo catback and like it. They sound awesome on a DSM, but never heard one on a civic.

DC's quality has never been quite up to par with the other "competitors" out there but then again they are priced much cheaper.... you get what you pay for.

that dual tip exhaust looks nice.... good job.

as for the hayame... comes out the "wrong" side.... don't care for that one bit....

2.25" Piping (too big for the 1.5 but i was going to do a mini me and thought it would help), $17 AutoZone muffler, $20 AutoZone 22" cherry bomb, $4 for BBQ paint, $60 worth of labor and piping.... bling bling

sounds good from inside the car. now that it's broken in it sounds really "airy" from behind the car if that makes sense. it's not raspy or weed whacker really, just odd. maybe if i had a cat it would be deeper. i don't care though.. it's abeater and it's better than open header like it was when i bought the car for $600

you run a cat? wonder how yours sounds in comparison to mine..... i don't complain b/c mine only gets "airy" if i get on it... which i don't... it's my beater so most of the time i'm nice to it.
