I've got a friend who has a 96' accord with a h22 swap not the type s. The person he bought the car from had a stock SI ecu in, he switched it out with a chipped p28 that had a swith for the stock settings and for chipped settings. Soon as he started up the the motor was flooded we let it sit, switched it back to stock settings car ran fine and started up. Would the problem be the fact that he's using an ecu thats running a fuel map for a 1.6/1.8?
fuel map is wrong or ECU is keeping the injectors open too long when you set it to the performance option. what engine was the performance option for?
the ecu settings with the chip is obviously running way too rich...what chip did you use? was it something you tuned yourself or was it purchased somewhere...if you didn't do it yourself, then you may want to have it tuned by a reputable shop who is familiar with uberdata tunes...

He bought the ecu from a guy who chips them himself, he had originally chipped it for 1.6/1.8 motors. I figured the fuel maps would be completely diff. He bought a fields vtec controller would that be a good idea? or should he just get a prelude ecu?
