Hey guys, have a question, i have a 93 accord LX and lateley i've been driving on the freeway at about 70-80 and intermittently my rpm's fluctuate from 3k to 2k and back to 3k and stays and then it does it again. Now it only does it once in a while. Not to long ago i had the same problem and a month later my ignition module gave out. Any suggestions on this?? Is this related to the ignition module? Thanx.

 

Are you saying you got your foot on the gas and the rpms will jump? If so, don't drive your car to far from home. Might be a slipping clutch.

Is your vehicle a Automation or Manual ?, I had the same problem with my automatic and some how it had to do with the Intake manifold

 

its an automatic, and it only happens once in a bluemoon, my foot is on the gas, but its not the clutch slipping because i have no problem accelarating i pick up speed as it should its just when im at high rpm bout 3k or 3.5k it fluctuates 2-4 times and then it stops....

i thought it had to do with the ignition module since it did this about 3 months back and 2 weeks later it gave out. Took it in and turned out to be ignition module. Anyone have this problem???
