Default simple question about oil

if you have a tremendous amount of oil in the car (more than double the two dots), will the car eventually have problems starting? i thought it was the ignition so i put in the msd that was sitting around the house, and on cold starts, it always takes a while to start up. and white smoke is coming out of the exhaust.
btw. this is for 95 integra ls/v

It shouldn't keep it from starting. If it's overfilled bad it will smoke under acceleration. (3-4 quarts over)

White smoke is usually antifreeze. Blown headgasket maybe? That can cause hard starting. Can you do a compression or leakdown test?

Yeah...it can caue problems to over fill the oil in a car. You run the risk of having improper oil clearences...esp in the rod and main bearings......lower viscosity oil lessens these chances though. <shrug> Why not jsut run the proper amount of oil?
