Default If you live in NOVA read this!

There have been an exorbiting amount of theft in the area more so than normal. My car was stolen last friday and about 7 of my friends cars have been broken into or stolen in the past week and half. These **** are averaging about a car a day. But the good news is its' putting a lot of pressure on the cops and sapposedly some stuff went down that i'm not allowed to talk about and we got one of them. We got plates of others and address of their homes. One of them are from PG county. I'm going into speak with the head detective on the case today to real more info and hot spots B/C this **** has to stop.
They jacked my ITR head, PWR Radiator, Cheap-o Head Unit, GSR blades, GSR Tie bar and skunk2 coilovers. Now my car is in pieces and is up for sale. I'm steping outa tha game for a wihle and hopefully you guys can keep your cars.
For those of you who want to know if i had an alarm, i did, they broke it the week b4 and ran away. I had to take it to get it fixed but meanwhile that bought them a window of time to steal my car. They struggled to find all the kill swithches and finnaly got them and drove off. I'll post up pics later today. I'm selling the car as a whole if anyone is interested. Any help to the investigation would be appreciated if anyone knows anything. It's getting really bad here in NOVA so BE CAREFULL

Were you and your friend's cars jacked from your (their) home(s) or a public area?

Yeah, I am away at school, and I actually dread coming home for the summer. This is getting and has been ridiculous . But what can you do; except make sure your insurance is current, and all your valuables are out of your car.

Mine was in my numberd spot. They even tampered with my houses porch light. When i looked at my house the next day my porch light was tampered with and so was the street lamp post. The only real security you can have is insurance and that new Viper GPS alarm system. As soon as its stolen you get paged and you can track it street by street through satilite when your on the phone with the cops. It's like 700 bucks or something. My apt. was for Wednesday (today) to get that system installed.

sheesh... We've had some theft happening out in our area too (manassas)... but nothing direclty related to cars.

My my dads utility van got broken into and a bunch of tools stolen... and a small storage house they have was also invaded and more of his tools and some car parts (off my mustang) were stolen... It's such a sickening feeling.

Oh and I had a 04' Honda 4 wheeler stolen out from under my porch last summer... I wasn't even in the country when I heard about that ****. Talk about a pisser...

I've done all that I can for my parents with alarms and what not... and for my house I've got my Insurance all paid up, a rotty named Cleetus, a .357 sig, and a hard disk based security system that records all areas of my house when motion is detected.

F'ing pitiful that it's coming to this...

See this is why i LOVE my country. Ya know? way up here in Canada, where we dont have to have **** like this. Why? i leave my doors unlocked all day, even when i',m not home. never been robbed. i dont have to worry about my car being stolen. I leave it running in the winter, keys int he ignition and doors unlocked. Its nice not to live in a country where half the population is out to screw the other half, and half the world with it.

the only real way to stop car theft is to kill a thief..dead in his tracks. if thieves knew they would be shot if they got caught, they'd definitely reconsider stealing peoples cars.

sorry to hear about that.

sorry about your car man

most people down here already know that nova is trouble but i didnt know it has become this bad...probably because its starting to get warmer now at night time...i have a friend that recentely obtained a handgun license to carry when he goes up there

im just glad they dont come down here everyday *knock on wood*...probably because they know my county police knows every ******* thing that goes on here because of people that live here call the police over any ******* thing that looks different then there idealistic view of suburbia...

this is why down here in America we love our guns so much. you guys in Canada don't have to deal with this **** because you don't have goddamn illegal salvadorian gang member immigrants moving in and trying to set up shop. there is sooo much more money down here for the taking.

I hate to make statements like this but the whole DC metro area is going to ****. I think I'm gonna go move to Frederick or something

damn yeah, my friends car was broken into/stolen twice in a week. they came and broke into his car in his driveway, at his house, and came back a few days later to get the rims a try to steal the car. luckily the alarm kept them from starting the car, and they only pushed it out into the middle of the street where they left it.
