Default lug wont come off just spins

Hey guys.. i was tryin to swap my wheels today. I got to the very last wheel very last lug nut and it was really tight.... so i figured half of the stud was going to snap off in the lug nut and i was just gonna have to replace the stud so i keep unloosening it. Well i got to the very end and it got easy to turn but the lug nut and the whole stud spins now.. SO there is no way to get my wheel off. Well in anger i start beating the lug nut figuring if i can break it in half i can pull the wheel off and replace the stud and stuff. Has anyone had this problem.. We used a chisel and a hammer and pretty much broke more than half of the lugnut but its a mess.
I used a propaine gas bottle and heated it up cherry red then beat on it. HAS anyone ever dealt with this. It sucks cause my buddy got a camaro we dropped a motor with the tranny connected in a caprice 1st time ever in 1 1/2 in his garage but we been workin on the lugnut for going on 2 days now and to make things worst i got a blown out tire so i would have to get it towed if i give up..

yup, had that happen on my car. After trying everything, I had to take a cutoff wheel to the stud BEHIND the wheel. Mine wouldn't come out far enough + the way my wheels were made so I couldn't get anything to the front of it. Good luck as it wasn't fun. Took me 2 hours to cut through the damn thing...

take the car and take all the lugs off you can, then lower the car down on the wheel with the lug that wont come off at the top (highest) point, what happens is the wheel gives the lug stud pressure and then it will come off, do at your own risk, but thats how i got mine off . ..

Its the ******* stud June. Same thing happen to me too. Theres little splines on the back of the stud that catch inside the hub. My splines got striped out. I went and got a nut spliter and split the lug nut.
