Default swapping sohc zc in my hf, do i need axles?? please help me!!!

im swapping the sohc zc motor and tranny into my hf, mainly because i have no power, i can't afford a b series, and it bolts in relatively easily. questions: do i need different axles?? how about the harness and ecu?? the hf had 62hp new, and after 296,000 miles, im lookin at about 30, lol. will this be a very noticable difference??? ok, thanks. sorry for the dumb questions, but the motor kinda fell into my lap, and i have been researching for a b16 swap, not this, so there's a lot of stuff i'm not sure of. i've been on here searching for hours, with little luck. please help!!!

if its the ZC tranny that has the intermediate shaft, then yes you will need new axles, and hubs. get some DX or SI hubs, the ZC int. shaft and some 90-93 Integra axles. the harness from the HF will work fine on the ZC, they are both MPFI, so nothing to change. You will definately need a new ECU, since the HF one will have shitty fuel curves and a 5500 rev limit. the pm6, pm7, or pg7 will all work fine. im using a pm7 on mine and it runs great

sure that will work, but you will hate how slow it is. the zc motor/si tranny is a great combo. i actually got better mpg with it than with the original HF motor/tranny in my car.

Another idea would be to make a hybrid axel. You could use the HF endshafts?[part that meets the hubs] with DX or Si axles from tranny to hubs. I had to do this for a friends car since he didn't want to change hubs. And you might as well put new boots on the axels anyways since it'll save you time and money in the long run if they crap out on you. - Darrell
