Default Will a stock ITR muffler be too restrictive on a built ls/vtec?

My fart tube tanabe is just too freakin loud, it needs to go.

I want something stock and quiet, lookin at a stock itr muffler but was wondering if it will do the trick?

Going in a build, high compression LS/VTEC looking at around 200whp

No. I made 230 with my 2 liter through the stock ITR muffler, and over 200 on my 1.8 ITR motor.

Damn, were you running factory exhaust? Very impressive. Exhaust is one of those things that really is diffcult to choose.

I just bought an RSX Type S Exhaust. I wonder which one flows better. Just waiting for the 2.5" piping now.

I've run an N1 2.5" straight thru on my 2.5" catback, then switched to a DC5-R muffler (2.25" inlet) which has a straight thru bypass trap door at high rpm.

I never dyno'd, but IMO, the DC5-R gave good low end response and decent top end, but the N1 definitely has better top end power, but is LOUD AS FOLK ! Even with silencer in...which is how I run it daily.

I don't think the ITR muffler will kill too much power....go for it.

If you want stock look, get an oval dynomax and spray it flat black... Very clean look, and quiet too.
