Need some opinions for a coilover set-up.. Omnis?.. Ground Controls?
I've been looking at getting a set of coilovers for my teg for about a month now, and I'd pretty much narrowed it down to a set of omnipower streets. However now as I'm about to go out and buy a set, I'm kinda afraid they're going to be too stiff for me. My car is nothing more than a daily driver, however I'm still all about performance. Around september I'll be installing a turbo setup, so It must accomidate for that. So I guess here I just have to make a decision. Either go with the omni streets, or go with one of my earlier plans and get a set of Tokico Illuminas plus a set of ground controls? Probably get a softer ride? Please let me know!
Mmmm...I'd go with some Koni Red/Special shocks and Ground Controls. The Koni Reds are more affordable than the yellows and they are adjustable, but since you said you primarily daily drive, you wouldn't be adjusting them much anyway. Plus, after the turbo install, if you need some higher spring rates in the back for drag racing, you can up them later.
I have Neuspeed/Koni Yellow shocks mated with Ground Controls and I love them! Both companies service is outstanding and they both have lifetime warranties.

Mmm...is that why Koni sells their Red/Special shocks with lowering springs??
Not available for Integras, but for Civics they sell the RSK System which compromises of Koni Red/Special shocks and lowering springs.
I'll let CRXLee chime in to provide the real answer, but I'd say it's safe to assume that they can handle a moderately lowered ride height.
