Default Resale value?

So I threw a rod in my crx, and I need to replace the block. Question is should I just get an a6 or should I go zc (either sohc or dohc).

The biggest factor is that I'm planning on selling the car/trading for an eg once the car is running but I am unaware as to whether a zc would really bump resale value at all. Obviously it's an engine that pulls harder but there's no point if I won't at least break even on the swap.

Opinions?

I say stay with the A6, and don't bother getting a ZC. the resale value would stay them same or a difference of $100-200 dollars overall. throw the A6 and sell your car. save the extra $$$ for your next project.

if you trade your CRX into a dealership, you're an idiot.

sell the car outright, you'll get more for it. on a trade, the engine could be from a CVCC and the dealership wouldn't care.

most private buyers don't really care what engine you have either... most will just swap it anyways.

resale value on most hondas is crap... better than Nissan and most domestics... but, still...$5000 gets you a wide range of hondas, up to 2001s...

No no no not to a dealership lol. I'm not that dumb.

When I said trade for an eg I mean private party sale.

And you can't seriously think I'd get 5000 out of my rex?
