type r b series engine in a prelude..
ok.. this isnt for me.. but sumone told me about their car tonight.. and they said they bought a b16c whatever it is and put it in their lude.. has anyone EVER HEARD of this disaster? what kinda engine mounts would she use? she didn't know. just said a shop did it.. so i'm either putting calling BS or someone that has too much money and not enuf brains..
A B series motor might not be a bad choice for a 2nd or 3rd gen Prelude. A 170hp B18C in a 2700lb Prelude would be pretty peppy. But the B16 in particluar is not a good choice IMO. I can't imagine that the 1.6l B16 would be any significant improvement over a stock 2.0l or 2.1l Prelude non-VTEC "B series"...
Either way, you would need all kinds of custom fabrication to fit a DOHC VTEC B series motor and tranny in a Prelude...

h22a in a integra isnt that bad of an idea. like above, suspension would need to be right, because integras are lighter than ludes and the weight ratio might be a little off. h22a is hella cheaper than a type-r for a teg..
Stupid? LOL... actually, theres a member here that is quite helpful, and before he retired it from the roads, I believe ticked off a mid-low 12 second run, N/A, with an H22A1 shoved in a teggie.
