I've had my needle been off before... it'll read like 1200-1500rpms when my AFC clearly shows it's 750rpms. Usually when I hit VTEC it will correct itself. Seems like the needle is sticky.
ive been told by many, that as our cars get older the rpms tend to go off track a little, either they fall behind, the motor dies out, or something happens. mine did that for a while, and would get stuck at 4k, then re align its self as soon as vtec kicked in. weird, as long as when you are driving the rpms are correct, you should be okay. DONT TRY AND PULL OF THE NEEDLE AND REALIGN IT...wont work i promise.
well it worked perfect b4, so i didnt want to take it off, but i donno if its really the true rpm that its reving at when im driving, it seems like it but im not 100% sure.... i want it fixed
