Default What is the fastest Accord available right now (stock)...

Hi,

What is the fastest Accord available to the public with a stock motor? It can be 4cyl or 6 cyl. It must be manuel tranny. What year will it be found in and what are the whp or even HP figures on it?

Thank you

Yep, I think they are currently the fastest 0-60 accord available. The electric motor helps a lot for low end torque.

the V6 6sp Coupe

the hybrid has more hp but its design is more for fuel economy and still be able to get out of its own way.

V6 6-speed still runs faster times than the Accord Hybrid. The Hybrid may have more power, but it's an automatic and has longer gears.

You can only get the 6-speed manual in EX trim.

Its going to be a rare find, most dealers only had 1-3. Expect to dish out around $23-25 depending on options.

But it is a very very very nice car.

Also consider an 03 CL Type S. They also came with a 6-speed manual.

Car and Driver's website blatantly states:

'05 Accord V6 6 Speed: 0-60 6.8 sec.

'05 Accord Hybrid V6 AT: 0-60 6.7 sec.

check out the reviews on their website of each car...

I remember reading in some magazine that the 6-speed got 6.4 or 6.5 during their tests, and that the hybrid got 6.6... Maybe I just remember wrong....

I really appreciate your input, guys. I'm hard pressed between this Accord, Integra GSR, Prelude (5th gen), and MAYBE, 1998 ITR.

Thanks

Yea, its awesome. Everyone wants to steal it, and insurance rates reflect that! It's great having to worry whenever you park it and wonder if it'll be there when you get back.

Personally id get the manual coupe. I wouldnt even think it was an Accord, it looks so good and performs well

i'd personally get the hybrid...it's quick while still maintaining good gas milleage, plus it's a 4 door and has good insurance rates since it's not a sports car...but that's just me...the 6 speed coupe might have the best potential however, so if that's your thing, then maybe that's the best choice...
